Adoptee Ableism

I wonder if this privileged, sanctimonious tool even knows about the least offensive kinds of ableism targeting us international/transethnic/transracial adoptees.

Like how we’re diagnosed as “attachment disordered” (you know, what’s known in adoption expert circles as “serial killer syndrome,” the kind they claim that Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer had) just for being adopted.

Especially if we don’t look our white saviors in the eyes. Never mind the fact that plenty of us get taught in our birth cultures that not looking our elders in the eyes is a sign of respect.

S/he probably knows better than we do. We’re all just too traumatized from our own experiences, after all.
